Or from being able to appear on any computer in the world? The internet never sleeps, it is never "off", your site is available to potentially everyone around the globe at any given time. Ask yourself:
does my competition have a web site? If the answer is "yes" you
might already be losing sales.

Question: Who holds the copyright on the completed site?
Answer: You do, by offering payment to me for designing your
site, you buy any & all rights to your site, graphics, logo, etc.

Confused by all the internet jargon?
Common Web Site Terms -
- Domain Name - www.sitename.com - also known as a "URL",
this is the location of your site on the internet, much like
your home address. It allows visitors to find your site. A good
domain name can mean the difference between a success or failure!
- Web Host - this term refers the host, or parking spot, of
your site on the internet so it is available to everyone. Hosts come
at many different costs to you, ranging from free (usually for non-commercial
sites only) to hundreds of dollars a month. A good host can generally
be found for less than $15.00 a month. Usually paid for on a monthly
basis, finding a good host is almost as important as finding a good
design for your site. Pick the wrong host & your site may be more
trouble than its worth! We currently offer hosting, with plans starting as low as $5.00 a month.
- Commercial/Non-commercial - these terms simply state what
purpose your site serves; commercial being a site which sells
something or sets out to make money. Non-commercial can be a charity,
not-for-profit site, a personal site, etc.
- Linkware - this term is used for graphic sets (collections
of themed pictures) that are used on non-commercial sites, in
return for a link back to the set creator's site. Most
linkware is available for purchase at a lower cost to you than
a full "from scratch" site design.
- Search Engine - such as Google
which allow web users to type in a string of words & find the
web sites that match those words the most closely.
- Live - this terms means that others can view your site,
when your site goes "live" everything is in place & ready to
go!
- Down - this means that your host might be having trouble
and your site is unavailable for a time, most good hosts promise
at least a 95% uptime.
- Site Maintenance - designers (luna624 design included)
may offer to update your web site with new products, information,
photos, etc...from time to time for a small fee.
- Not sure about any term used on this site? Feel free to email
us & find out more.
